I’ve heard that you risk hair breakage if you brush it straight out of the shower. Is it true that I should only comb use a wide comb and wait until it’s fairly dry before brushing? #dearugly

It’s a myth that you can’t brush wringing wet hair. But I wouldn’t use a cheap plastic brush with hard pins. It’s not only going to be painful using a brush that doesn’t flex but that’s how damage and breakage occurs. When the hard pins, don’t have any give, your hair pays the price. You want to use a brush a combination natural boar bristle with soft, hand-dipped pins that can detangle your wet locks without pulling and tugging.
