Most people with very curly hair struggle to control the frizz at some point. Trying to tame the frizz can take all of the joy out of having curly hair! The problem usually occurs due to dry hair. The scalp’s natural oils have a hard time working their way to the ends of a curl – much harder than straight hair. But the right type of brush can give nature a helping hand. Boar bristles have microscopic scales that move the oils from the scalp to the ends of the hair where it’s needed most. But not all boar bristles are the same. They come in different grades. High quality boar bristle is more effective at moving the oils down the hair shaft than lower quality. Ugly Swan only use first grade natural boar bristle in their brushes.
